2017 New Year's greeting card
This projects won a prize at the greeting card competition of Loftwork.
In Japanese culture, it is customary to send New Year's greeting cards to friends and business associates.
This work showcases personal cards created for 2017.
Here, I explored a new style of expression, representing two words of two and four characters as a single graphic.
To take advantage of the texture of the kraft paper, I separated the use of white and black lines and used them together with the brown of the paper itself to form a scheme of three colors.
Shifting of the plate caused unintended lines to appear little by little, creating an interesting visual effect.
