What is Driven by Change?
Driven by Change is a joint project between vape brand Vuse and the McLaren Formula 1 team. It aims to use the global platform of motorsport to support up-and-coming creators and showcase their work.Driven by Change uses the work of creators from around the world as the livery for Formula 1 cars: in 2021, Rabab Tantawy from the Middle East was the first female artist to be used, and many more have been supported since.In 2024, Japanese artist MILTZ was chosen to create the livery for the McLaren 2024 Formula 1 car, the MCL38.
Driven by Change とは
Driven by Change（ドリブン・バイ・チェンジ）は、ベイプブランドの「Vuse（ビューズ）」とマクラーレン・フォーミュラ1チームが共同で立ち上げたプロジェクトです。モータースポーツというグローバルなプラットフォームを活用して、新進気鋭のクリエイターを支援し、彼らの作品を紹介することを目的としています。Driven by Changeでは、世界中のクリエイターの作品をフォーミュラ1マシンのカラーリングとして起用しています。2021年に中東出身のRabab Tantawyが女性アーティストとして初めて起用され、それ以来多くのクリエイターが支援されています。2024年には、日本人アーティストのMILTZ（ミルツ）がマクラーレン2024年型 F1マシン「MCL38」のカラーリングを担当しました。

Designed exclusively for the 2024 Suzuka Grand Prix.
In this project, the author was responsible for illustrating only a part of the car, while the layout, PR, management, and other aspects were carried out by numerous contributors.
Furthermore, sincere gratitude and respect are extended to all those involved in the project, including collaborators and individuals whose contributions may not be fully recognised.

CHARACTOR DESIGN
These characters are inspired by the traditional Japanese Hige-moji script, which has a long history of use in sake labels, shrines, temples, and long-established shop signs.
For this project, Hige-moji was reimagined with a modern aesthetic, refining its forms to evoke a dynamic sense of speed while preserving its cultural essence.
これらの文字は、日本の伝統的な「髭文字」に着想を得ています。髭文字は、酒のラベルや神社仏閣、老舗商店の看板などに使用されてきた歴史ある書体です。このプロジェクトでは、髭文字を現代的な美学で再解釈し、スピード感を感じさせるダイナミックなフォルムへと洗練させました。
ART WORK
This original artwork is created using acrylic paint.
The composition depicts multiple dragons emerging from the clouds as if competing,
dynamically capturing the energy of Formula 1.
The shading employs techniques inspired by pointillism,
adding depth and intricacy to the overall visual impression.
本作はアクリル絵の具を用いて制作されたオリジナルアートワークである。
雲間から競い合うように姿を現す複数の竜をモチーフに、F1の持つ躍動感をダイナミックに表現している。
陰影の表現には点描画の技法が応用されており、
細密な描写によって画面全体に奥行きと緻密さがもたらされている。
PROMOTION EVENT - Art In Motion -
The presentation Art In Motion was held at Tokyo Midtown.
The venue was filled with anticipation and excitement as original art and F1 cars lined up opposite each other.
As a guest experience, guests could create original bearded letter graphics with their own names. Here, a new branding mark was designed to be placed randomly within the graphic.

東京ミッドタウンで開催された発表会「Art In Motion」。
オリジナルアートとF1マシンが向かい合うように並び、会場は期待と熱気に包まれていました。
ゲストが自分の名前を使ってオリジナルのグラフィックを作成できるブースも設置され、ランダムで押される烙印をデザインしました。
